PDFA first Women’s Cup from September 4

DIMAPUR, AUG 30 (NPN)

The first Women’s Cup (football) of the Peren District Football Association (PDFA) will commence from September 4 to 8 at Turf Ground Jalukie Town under the theme, “Her Game, Her Glory”.
A press release by the media team of PDFA stated that the champions of the Cup will walk home with a cash of Rs. 20,000/- with medals, certificates and trophy while the runners-up will receive a cash amount of Rs. 10,000/- with medals, certificates and trophy.
In the individual category, golden ball winner will receive Rs. 2000 while other individual awards like golden boot, golden glove, best defender, best midfielder will receive a cash of Rs. 1000 each with trophies.

PDFA stated it is embarking on a new and historic initiative by introducing the PDFA Women’s Cup 2025, the first-ever running trophy tournament exclusively for women in the district.
This landmark event is not just a competition but a movement to empower women in football, creating equal opportunities for them to compete, excel and inspire.
PDFA stated that the chosen theme, “Her Game, Her Glory” reflects PDFA’s commitment to ensuring that women footballers receive the recognition, support and platform they truly deserve, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts.
PDFA further stated that through this initiative, it envisions a future where every girl with a passion for football finds her voice, her space and her glory in the game.
