Peren CSOs temporarily suspends stir

Nagaland Zeliang People Organization (NZPO) and civil society organisations of Peren district have decided to temporarily suspend the NH-129A blockade till further notice.
In a press note, ZNPO media cell said that the decision was made following the assurance received from the Commissioner’s office that “all the related matters and grievances of CSOs leading to indefinite blockade have been considered and also putting on hold whatever compensation to be paid to bogus claimants of residents of the erstwhile Kiyevi village.”
While urging the government to work on its assurance, the CSOs cautioned that it would resume the “democratic means of protest” if the government failed to fulfill their demands.
