
Peren district review meeting on Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) health scheme was held on November 27, at DC’s office Peren under the chairmanship of DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier.
According to DIPR report, deputy CMO/district nodal officer AB-PMJAY highlighted the activities of the programme in the district in brief and encouraged the members to actively participate to improve the performance in the District. AB-PMJAY district coordinator, Keheimalungle gave a powerpoint presentation on Ayushman Bharat and its key feature. She stated that AB-PMJAY provides cashless access to health care service for the beneficiary at the point of service in the hospital. She also briefed about the district wise number of individual card issued and Empanelled Health Care Provider (EHCP) performance. The meeting discussed on poor network connectivity and lack of awareness of the scheme leading to non-compliance from the public especially in remote areas, issues of rejection of claim and delaying of payments claim to the hospital etc. Members also deliberated and discussed to appraise the concerned authority to impart reorientation training for the stakeholders in the district. It was also discussed and decided to issue directive to village council chairman/colony chairman from the administration to actively involve and co-ordinate with the health care staff. Deputy commissioner Peren, Sentiwapang Aier urged the members to put more efforts to ensure smooth implementation of the project and to improve the performance in the district. Meeting was attended by nodal officer in-charge and Ayushman Metra’s of the empanelled hospital and medical officer from Oriental Insurance Company and Raksha TPA.
