Peren Government College celebrates 39th Foundation Day

Peren Government College marked its 39th foundation day at the college campus on April 13, bringing together faculty, students and alumni to commemorate the institution’s journey.
In his address, principal Dr. T. Jamedi Longkumer reflected on the college’s 39 years of progress, highlighting achievements and challenges, while calling for collective efforts towards further growth and excellence.
The celebration featured cultural performances, including a musical presentation by Wirangbo and Guduakliu. Awards were also distributed to recognise academic and student excellence. University toppers under Nagaland University (CBCS) were felicitated—Puisuile (Education, 5th rank, CGPA 7.00), Keyinciepgongle (History, 3rd rank, CGPA 7.39), and Sehlal Singson (Political Science, 10th rank, CGPA 7.75).
Sehlal Singson received the Academic Excellence Award 2025, presented by the Teachers Association, while Keyinciepgongle was conferred the Best Student Award by the Alumni Association. The Best Discipline Award was bagged by Reluicule (2nd Semester), Rita Bisu Karma (4th Semester), Liviholi Achumi (6th Semester) and Ikaplungbe (6th Semester).
Winners of literary and cultural competitions organised under Mechakhaira were also honoured. The programme was compered by Assistant Professor Paukizonne, invocation was offered by Dr. Inzule Zeliang, followed by a choir presentation, and concluded with the singing of the College Anthem.
