Peren police has detained four individuals, reportedly involved in the physical assault of ADC Peren on October 21. In a late night statement, SP Peren Manish Bhartiya said that a complaint was lodged by ADC Peren Keyirangding Hegui, stating that some miscreants in an inebriated condition had stopped his vehicle while on the way from Dimapur to Peren along NH-129A Jalukie-B village area and had physically abused and assaulted him and one boy who had accompanied him.
Accordingly, a regular case was registered at Jalukie Police Station and investigation was initiated. Following the inquiry, SP said four individuals were identified and around 2 p.m., a team led by SDPO Jalukie searched and detained the individuals involved in the case. After adhering to all legal and medical formalities, the accused were brought before the chief judicial magistrate and forwarded to judicial custody.
