Peren prepares for FLNAT under ULLAS programme

Peren district is gearing up to conduct the Financial Literacy Assessment Test (FLNAT) 2026 on March 21 under the flagship Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society (ULLAS) programme, initiated through the Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram. The assessment will be held across 112 schools and villages in the district.
According to a press release from the District Education Office, a district-wide mobilization drive began on March 3, led by District Education Officer (DEO) Limadangit Jamir. As part of the preparations, officials have been visiting Educational Block Resource Centres (EBRCs) and interacting with volunteers and trainees to ensure smooth implementation of the programme.
During his visit to Ahthibung EBRC on March 11, Limadangit encouraged voluntary teachers to continue their service with dedication and commitment, stressing the importance of guiding learners responsibly. He also congratulated Block Coordinators and Teachers of Trainers (TOTs) for their efforts in mobilizing and preparing volunteers for the upcoming assessment.
The programme included an interaction session between volunteers and trainees to foster better coordination and understanding of the FLNAT objectives. Examination materials were distributed, and refreshments were provided to participants.
Earlier, the DEO visited Tening EBRC on March 10, where similar interactions and preparations were carried out as part of the ongoing mobilization drive.
The FLNAT initiative under ULLAS seeks to strengthen functional literacy and numeracy among adult learners, promoting inclusive education and lifelong learning opportunities for all sections of society.
