Peren, Zunheboto and Wokha bandh pass of peacefully

The 6-hour total shutter down in Peren, Zunheboto and Wokha passed of peacefully on December 6. In Peren, the shutdown was organised by the Zeliangrong Students’ Union, Nagaland (ZSUN); in Zunheboto, it was organised by Sümi Hoho while In Wokha, it was organised by Lotha Students’ Union.

With the cooperation from the public, the total bandh in both the districts were peaceful.

The Zeliangrong Students’ Union, Nagaland (ZSUN) and Sumi Hoho have called for a total shutdown of all business establishments in their respective areas as a symbol of solidarity with the families who lost their love ones during the ambush carried out by the Assam Rifles at Oting village of December 4.

A press release from ZSUN media informed that as per to the directives from the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) office, the Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland requested all the traders to co-operate in the 6-hour total bandh.

As per the request of the ZSUN, its federating units, Peren Students ‘Union and Jalukie Students’ Union monitored the bandh within their jurisdictions.
