The prices of petrol and diesel have been lowered by at least 15 paise per litre by the state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) across the country on Sunday, after keeping them unchanged for three consecutive days.
After the price revision, petrol price in Dimapur cost Rs. 99.63 a litre and diesel Rs. 90.63 per litre. In the state capital Kohima, the retail prices of petrol and diesel were Rs.100.72 a litre and Rs. 91.53 a litre respectively.
In the national capital New Delhi, petrol is retailing at Rs 101.19 per litre and diesel stood at Rs. 88.62 per litre.
The OMCs have kept fuel rates steady in the past few days even after international crude oil prices remain weak. In addition to this, fuel rates differ from state to state due to value-added tax (VAT) and freight charges.
