Public Forum Pungro Sub-Division (PFPSD) has expressed disappointment over the non- maintenance of road
stretching to Likimro Hydro Electric Project (LEHP).
In a press release, PFPSD president, S. Kiusumew Yimchungrü, has claimed that several road accidents have occurred due to the deplorable road in the area. It said the public have been suffering and facing untold hardship for the past many years.
PFPSD also informed that the road was being maintained from time to time by various civil societies with assistance by the administration. However, due to rain the forum said the road has deteriorated and that heavy vehicles are unable to ply.
Meanwhile, PFPSD has appealed the state government and power department to take appropriate measure and look into the matter at the earliest.
