Pfutsero hosts exhibition-cum-sale to promote rural entrepreneurship

Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN), in collaboration with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), organised a three-day Exhibition-cum-Sale at Pfutsero Public Ground from September 2 to 4, 2025 as part of the nationwide Grameen Bharat Mahotsav and in observance of the UN International Year of Cooperatives 2025.
The event was inaugurated by Superintendent of Police, Phek, Dr. Pritpal Kaur, who attended as special guest alongside leaders from women’s organisations, civil society groups, and business communities across Phek district.
In her address, Dr. Kaur underscored the dignity of labour, equal opportunities for women, and the role of agriculture in sustaining rural livelihoods. She encouraged participants to pursue self-reliance, engage in purposeful networking, and work collectively towards shared prosperity.
Leaders from various civil society organisations also spoke on the occasion, urging entrepreneurs to cultivate patience and resilience, and to take ownership of their economic futures, especially in evolving rural and semi-urban contexts.
The exhibition featured 35 stalls showcasing local produce, traditional crafts, and skill-building workshops, offering grassroots entrepreneurs a platform for sales, networking, and visibility.
