Peren Government College (PGC) held its fresher’s day on June 28.
A press release from PGC principal Dr. Katoni Jakhalu and vice principal Albert stated that at the programme Iheigumlung and Idaizaule were crowned as Mr and Miss Freshers, respectively.
Earlier, principal, Dr. Katoni Jakhalu while addressing the gathering emphasized on the sense of taking pride in doing one’s duty sincerely and the need for sense of responsibility and dedication in executing the assigned duties.
The programme also highlighted annual Academic Excellence Award to the College Topper, 2019 Namgwangheile, who apart from topping her class in the recently conducted BA 6th Semester Examination, 2019 also won several prizes at the district and state level competitions.
At the programme, PGCSU vice president Rezulungbe welcomed the fresher’s and Idaizeule of B.A. 1st Semester representing the fresher’s presented a speech.
