PH resolves to conserve wild life

Assuring cooperation to the department in protecting  wildlife and conservation of forest, the Pochury Hoho (PH) said it would ensure that its resolution was strictly implemented with regard to this. This declaration was made by PH president, Penthu Pochury during an awareness programme on wildlife and amur falcon protection organized by Phek forest division on September 29 at Meluri. 
During the programme, DFO Phek Rongsenlemla Imchen IFS highlighted the importance of wild life and its legal implications.  She called upon stake holders to put corrective effort towards protecting the forests’ sustainably in relation to livelihood security. ADC Meluri S. John Tsalise Sangtam appreciated the department for its role in sensitizing the public.  Ranger Meluri S. Katiry sought collaborative effort to protect wild life and forests. The programme was attended by beat officer Joshury Phokhungri, district administration, police, Pochury Hoho, Pochury mothers association, village council members and local functionaries of all 30 villages, Phochury GB union, Dobhashis, student union and NGO’s.
