A joint inspection of pharmacies in Wokha town was carried out on July 23 by the District-level Narco Coordination Committee (NCORD) Wokha, which included officials from the Chief Medical Officer’s office, District Administration, and Police Department. According to the Drugs Control Officer from the CMO’s office, the team checked CCTV installation and verified whether Schedule H and H1 registers were properly maintained. Narcotic and psychotropic drugs were also reviewed to ensure they were procured strictly through the indent certificate system and sold only on valid doctor prescriptions recorded in the Schedule H1 register. The officer informed that the inspection aimed at ensuring compliance and transparency in drug sales across local pharmacies.
