Primary Health Centre (PHC) Amahator building and staff quarters constructed way back in 1980 are now in dilapidated condition while some staff quarters have been abandoned.
At present there are 17 regular staffs including two doctors, one ANM and one GNM at PHC Amahator. There are 12 villages under Amahator Area besides nearby villages around Amahator.
Amahator is located some 14 km away from Kiphire town, however, it takes more than one hour to reach owing to deplorable road condition.
Medical staffs are having hard time manning the deplorable condition of the PHC and staff quarters. Student organizations and NGOs are fighting for development. Government agencies need to give immediate attention for health sector especially like in this remote place of Kiphire district where voices of the people are hardly heard.
