PHC Mongsenyimti undergoes external assessment

Primary Health Centre (PHC) Mongsenyimti is currently undergoing external assessment for certification under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS), as part of the National Quality Assurance Programme.
According to a press release issued by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Office, Mokokchung, the assessment is being conducted by external assessors Dr. Sankar Roy and Dr. Rajiv Kumar Sharma, who are evaluating the facility in accordance with NQAS guidelines.
The assessment aims to determine the health centre’s readiness for national certification and its alignment with global benchmarks tailored to the specific needs of Indian public health facilities. Key “Areas of Concern” being evaluated include service provision, patient rights, support services, clinical care, infection control, and quality management.
During the introductory programme, Medical Officer of PHC Mongsenyimti, Dr. Maongkala, presented the facility profile, highlighting that the PHC caters to six Health & Wellness Centres across eight villages, with a population coverage of 4,558.
Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung, Dr. Takosunep Ao, delivered the welcome address, expressing gratitude to the assessors and commending PHC Mongsenyimti, led by Dr. Maongkala, for its dedicated efforts and contributions throughout its three-year NQAS journey.
The release further stated that the assessment is being supported by a team from the CMO Office Mokokchung, led by District Quality Manager (DQM) Dr. Ajemrenla.
