PHED inaugurates water supply system in Phesama village

Phesama village water supply system was inaugurated by the Chief Engineer of PHED, Er. Kevisekho Kruse, as the chief guest on March 18. 
Er. Kruse, in his address, called upon the villagers and every individual to realize the importance of holding the responsibility to take care of the government property. He appealed the villagers to dispel the wrong idea of often blaming the government for every responsibility. Also stressing on the importance of sustainable of water supply, he said that sustainability depended on the individual.
Chief engineer also mentioned about the importance of maintaining sanitation which he said should be a daily business by every citizen. He said whoever visited Nagaland from outside had a bad impression about the poor sanitation system. He said whoever utilize the development infrastructures should have the sense of responsibility to take care and maintain it.
President of Angami Public Organization (APO), Dr. Vilhusa Seleyi, shared happiness of the work done for the water supply in the village by the PHED department. 
Making a comparison of the population fifty years then and now, Dr. Seleyi said the village population has increased over the years and water source that was made fifty years ago was not enough to feed the present population. As India celebrates clean and safe drinking water, he said together we should also celebrate with the country.
He reminded the villagers on the importance of taking and safeguarding the infrastructural development provided by the government for clean and better water facility. He encouraged the youngsters to have the sense of responsibility in protecting and safeguarding the effort made by the elders.  
Angamimiapfü Mechü Krotho (AMK) advisor, Salhutuonuo Kruse, also addressed the gathering.
The programme was led by Vimedo Chuse, chairman of Phesama village council, while the invocation prayer was said by Neitsolie Mejura, pastor of CRC Phesama, welcome song was presented by Phesama Students’ Union, welcome address was delivered by Zhatholie Chütso, GB Phesama and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Joseph M Angami, secretary PVWRMC.
