PHED informs on water tank demolition

Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has planned to demolish the RCC overhead Intze tank located at Naharbari, Dimapur, which has outlived its life span and was at imminent risk of collapse due to weak foundation.
In a joint press statement, PHED urban division Dimapur executive engineer P Khetoi Awomi and Naharbari Village Council (NVC) chairman, Tokheli Kikon, stated that PHED in collaboration with the NVC and in coordination with the Power Department and Traffic Police has fixed the period for demolishing the water tank i.e. from October 11-14, 2017.
During this period from 8am to 5pm, Naharbari road would be blocked for vehicular traffic and power supply would be cut-off. All outgoing vehicles could take the road towards Darogapathar village and incoming vehicles could take the road via Padum Pukhuri circular road.
Public who were affected due to power cut and road block during the period have been requested to bear with the department.
