Department of Public Health Engineering (PHED) has informed all citizens of Kohima, availing water supply from the department to standardize their connection by submitting complete proof of residential address along with contact numbers to facilitate better communication, prompt attention to complaints and delivery of water tax bills.
All the concerned have been asked to submit the documents to Junior Engineer (JE) or executive engineer (urban) division near, Kohima head post office from August 10 to September 20.
Further, executive engineer urban division Er. Vikeduolie Mepfhuo has informed all those availing PHE water supply, but does not get water bills to inform the authority for corrective measures. It also cautioned that failure to report the case shall be treated as illegal consumers and huge penalty and legal action would be taken besides disconnection.
The department also informed that any complaints would be entertained at various section office of the JE from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. during working days.
