Minister of PHED, Jacob Zhimomi undertook inspection of road construction from Diphupar (Central Jail) to Niuland, on January 13.
According to media secretary to the minister, Zhimomi emphasized on the quality of road and cautioned against compromise of raw materials, and called for completion of the project at the earliest.
He informed the officials and contractor that inspections would be carried out again to check on the quality and pace of the work being carried out.
The release also stated that Executive Engineer (PWD), department officials and contractor were present along with the minster.
It further stated that 7 kms of the road stretch out of 21 km was completed, which served as a lifeline for more than 100 villages.
