PHED Mkg division organises trg

DWSM PHED Mokokchung division, sponsored by Sanitation & WSSO, PHED Nagaland organised a training on Water Quality Testing with Field Testing Kits (FTKs) on December 7 at town hall, Tuli town for members of Water & Sanitation (WATSAN) Committee. 

In a press release, PHED Mokokchung division informed that the training envisaged on Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) main objective to create a community-based Water Quality Monitoring & Surveillance (WQMS) system at grassroots level by the community itself to enhance awareness of safe drinking water. Resource person, chemist, Mokokchung division, Alemjungla Longchar shared the manual procedures and technical aspects of FTK to the members present.

Later, hands on training with FTK was conducted. The training was attended by 44 WATSAN members from 19 villages from Tuli, Changtongya and Mangkolemba blocks respectively. FTKs were also distributed to all the villages.
