PHED Peren division observes Swachhata Dialogue & Awareness

As part of the nationwide week-long campaign “Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar Swachhata”, the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Peren Division, observed Swachhata Dialogue & Awareness Day on August 13 across various locations in the district.
The event brought together participants from multiple villages under Peren district. In parallel to the event, cleanliness and awareness drives, including toilet cleaning activities, were carried out in Bedrock Nursery School, Mhaikam Village, and other villages under Jalukie and Tening blocks. These activities reinforced the core message of hygiene, dignity, and shared community responsibility under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
In the programme, consultant, Vimezo, delivered a keynote speech on the theme “Dignity through IHHL”, emphasizing the role of sanitation in upholding personal and community dignity. This was followed by a session led by Er. Kedipeilung Elunglung on “ODF Plus Model Village”, where he highlighted the importance of sustaining open-defecation-free (ODF) status and the community’s role in managing grey water and plastic waste through collective participation.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Er. Yuvila Sangtam, and vote of thanks by Er. Suiyitule.
