PHED training on Sujal & Swachh Goan at Kohima

Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) kick started five-day training of trainers (ToT) on Sujal & Swachh Goan at PHED directorate office, Kohima with Mhathung Tungoe additional secretary PHED as the special guest on February 10.

A press release from PHED Kohima stated that, resource persons contributing information and opinions to the participants from February 10 to 14 are led by team leader Laxmikant S Shinde, WASH specialist, PriMove, Sachidan and Singh, trainer, PriMove, Bistrita Sarmah, trainer, PriMove and Sachin Supekar, trainer, PriMove. 
This guide is a training resource which will be used by field trainers who will be experienced trainers /facilitators with proven knowledge and skills in delivering trainings. Field Trainers (FTs) will be key functionaries responsible for direct training to sarpanchs and panchayat.
Earlier, inaugural programme was chaired by Er. N. Thsathrichem Sangtam, director WSSO, PHED, introductory address on behalf of the department was presented by Er. Repang Longkumer, chief engineer, PHED, while a keynote address on Sujal & Swachh Goan was delivered by Laxmikant S Shinde, WASH specialist, PriMove.
As many as 53 are participating the five-day programme from all districts of Nagaland from each division of PHED to focus the national flagship programme on save and secure drinking water supply management and open defecation free plus (ODF+) organised by WSSO, Public Health Engineering Department and  supported by PriMove and UNICEF.
