PHED training on Sujal & Swachh Goan concludes

Five-day training of trainers on Sujal & Swachh Goan under initiative of GoI ministry of Jal Shakti department of Drinking Water and Sanitation Mission, organised by WSSO, PHED, supported by UNICEF and facilitated by PriMove culminated on February 14. 

A press release from PHED Kohima stated that, MK Mero principal secretary, PHED was the special guest at PHED directorate office Kohima. Selected officials from all districts of Nagaland from each division of Public Health Engineering department (PHED) attended the five-day programme to focus on the national flagship programme Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) which pertains to safe and secure drinking water supply management and open defecation free plus (ODF+). The team also visited Jotsoma village as part of field visit and had interaction with villagers during the five-day training.
Earlier, the culmination programme was chaired by Er. N. Thsathrichem Sangtam, director WSSO, PHED, feedback from trainees were presented during the programme and distribution of training programme certificates were also handed over to the participants by the special guest.
Resource persons were team leader Laxmikant S Shinde, WASH specialist, PriMove, Sachidanand Singh, trainer, PriMove, Bistrita Sarmah, trainer, PriMove and Sachin Supekar, trainer, PriMove.
