PHED Zunheboto division conducted Sankalp Saptaah at government high school Akuhaito and cleanliness drive at Khelhoshe polytechnic Asukhuto (KPA) under the theme “Swachhata ek Sankalp Cleanliness” on October 5 in collaboration with district administration Atoizu.
Sanitation and hygiene consultant, Akai sumi spoke on negative impacts of unhygienic village condition and its measures, harmful effects of burning plastics and its usage, importance of handwashing with soap and importance of individual household toilet condition and its surroundings.
Lato Yeptho, Jal shakti fellow demonstrated on seven steps to wash the hands with soap.
A painting competition was conducted with the theme “Hygiene and cleanliness “ followed by Quiz competition. Meanwhile, dustbins were provided to the school authorities and over 30 students took part in the event. Earlier, the programme was chaired by Likivi Achumi.
