Phek Battalion organises various activities

Phek Battalion as part of civic action programme organised various activities for the citizens of Phek district. 

Phek Battalion: Phek Battalion also conducted a free medical camp at New Thewati village under Phek district on December 27. A specially constituted team under Assam Rifles medical officer of Phek Battalion examined 96 people including 31 female and 22 children and provided free medicines. The medical team also visited houses of elderly people who were too weak to attend the medical camp.

Phek Battalion also organised Christmas day celebration at all COBs and distributed sweets at Ziphu, Avangkhu and Akhen villages. 

According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), an inter-village volleyball competition was also organised as part of the Christmas celebration at Akhen village. The villagers from Phek district appreciated the efforts undertaken by the Assam Rifles.

Phek Battalion further organised a run for fit India movement on December 28. According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), a total of 16 students participated along with troops of the battalion with full of zeal and enthusiasm conveying  message to stay fit and healthy.
