The dissident workers of Phek BJP has accused the district president Eduzu Theluo of trying to hijack the membership of the BJP Phek people in order to continue in the office and warned that he would solely be responsible for any membership laundering or unconcerned enrolment using electoral roll etc.
This was stated in a joint release issued by general secretary Kho-o H Keyho, vice president Thupuveyi Rhakho, president kisan morcha Bilhunyi Nyekha, president 19 AC Phek Yiephuzü Swuro, president 18 AC Chozuba Muzipra Lohe, president 16 AC Pfutsero Pudusayi.
The release claimed that Eduzu Theluo’s group had scheduled for Phek BJP enrolment drive initiation on January 19 onwards whereas the mega national membership drive was directed to resume until March 31. While stating that they do not object to such proceedings as directed from the BJP High Command, it however said they were unresolved to participate and squandered their time under the unconstitutionally inducted president in the district.
While maintaining that those who have already enrolled through electronic medias or through booklet tokens were not devoid from the membership entry, they said it cannot be justifiably proceeded under the approval of the unconstitutionally inducted president.
The dissident group has resolved to proceed only after the constitutionally elected president is reinstated and status quo is maintained under the directive of the National BJP High Command.
Further, the dissident BJP Phek district said Dr. M Chuba should not continue to hold the post of president in the Nagaland BJP Unit office as his tenure was overdue on January 2. They have directed him to legally resigned on high moral ground and allow the office to function through an induction of a caretaker until such time a new State’s president is elected.
Further, they have appealed the national office bearers of BJP Nagaland State In-charge and Organizing Secretary BJP Nagaland State unit, to take necessary actions and bring forth change in the system of leadership.
