The Phek District Wushu Association (PDWA) was officially formed on Tuesday. The meeting for the formation of the association was chaired by Hukupa Ciekhan at the residence of Kudecho Khamo in Kohima.
The house unanimously approved the name and elected the following office bearers: President -Hukupa Ciekhan, General Secretary – Vezokho Luruo, Vice President – Rukukhoto Khusoh, Technical Secretary – Micheal Rhakho, Finance Secretary – Vezhokhoyi Khokhru and Treasurer – Vemele Thingo.
Vekhozo Ringa was appointed to the Board of Advisors.
In his address, general secretary of the Nagaland Wushu Association, Vekhozo Ringa, highlighted the importance of developing Wushu in Phek district.
The meeting resolved to select an official logo and motto, drafting of constitution and fixed a three-year tenure for office bearers.
