Department of Agriculture (DA) Phek district Farmer’s Producer Organization (FPO) meeting and registration with Co-operative Society under MOVCD-NER for Phek district was held under the chairmanship of SDAO Chozuba, Thepusa Nakro on December 6.
A press release issued by AFA and file in-charge MOVCD-NER DAO Phek, Neilo Koza stated that the meeting resolved to form its society under the name “Phek District Organic Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd” wherein Theyehuyi Dawhou was elected as the chairman, Sathosie Nyuwi as secretary and Huveta Rhakho as treasurer of the society along with seven managing committee members.
During the meeting and registration, keynote address on organic farming was delivered by deputy DAO Phek, Rudupra Keyho, while organic farmers’ registration with co-operative society guidelines were delivered by SICS cooperation department Phek, Tsuknungwati.
