Phek Government College (PCC) bid farewell to its outgoing principal, Dr. Katoni Jakhalu on April 10.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Katoni applauded the teachers, non teaching staff and the students for their cooperation.
She further stressed that she had to be a tough task master in order to achieve her vision to transform the college to what it was today.
Reminiscing her days, she described it as a short holiday because of the scenic beauty, organic foods and pleasant people. She also promised to always have a special place in her heart for Phek Government College and all other colleges.
Earlier during the function, speaking on behalf of the teachers association, HOD English department, Dr. N. Selveraj thanked the outgoing principal for helping all the college personnel to realize the potentials that they possess. Vice principal, Besengulie Venuh acknowledged the principal for bringing noticeable changes to the college during her short tenure.
Assistant professor, Dr. Nutazo Lohe also spoke on the occasion, earlier the programme was chaired by assistant professor, political science, Dr. Seyeizolie.
