The 40th annual sports meet of Phek Government College was held from February 16 – 18 under the theme, “Invigorating Unity”.
The three-day events included football, volleyball, wrestling, chess, table tennis and many other track and field events. The students were divided into four teams – Phoenix, Panther, Falcon and Firefox wherein Falcon team emerged as the overall champion.
The inaugural guest was president, Phek Area Sports Association, Razoukhruyi Dozo. The inaugural session was chaired by Ranjan Sha and welcome note was delivered by asst. professor and convenor of Sports Committee, Vinituono Krose, while the keynote address was given by the principal, Dr. T. Tiakaba Jamir.
