Phek legal fraternity encouraged to attain greater success

Legal fraternity of Phek district was encouraged to achieve limitless progress and achieve greater success in legal profession during the general body meeting of Phek District Bar Association (PDBA) held on February 16 at District Court Complex, Phek.


A press release by PDBA informed that in a presidential address, Povotso Lohe called upon the advocates of the district to “struggle hard to achieve the limitless profess and move forward steadfast in attaining its maturity to catch up with others in this fast competitive world of today”.


In their exhortations, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Phek, Kuko Mero and District and Sessions Judge, Neiko Akami urged the legal fraternity of the district to work hard and achieve greater success in their legal profession. The meeting was presided over by Khemvü Mekru, invocation was said by Phek Town Baptist Church Pastor Rev. Dr. Thüpucüyi Khesoh and special song was presented by Hobito Swüro.


PDBA said the election of the new office bearers for the next term could not take place “in view of less attendance of its active members on the advocates roll of the district bar” and hence, the house during the business session decided to entrust its election commission and the advisory board of PDBA comprising of five members to take steps for election of new office bearers at the earliest.
