DIMAPUR: Sub-centre Philimi and sub-centre Rotomi under Zunheboto district were inaugurated by Er. Picto Shohe, MLA, on April 1.
In a press release, district media officer, CMO office, Keneikhrietuo informed that guest of honour, Er.Picto in his speech appealed to the public to utilise all the health care services with the inauguration of new sub-centres in the two villages.
He assured to provide “inner necessities” in the sub-centres and urged upon the village council and community to maintain the health units as it was everyone’s responsibility.
Further, the MLA acknowledged the medical department, civil society organisations and people of Philimi and Rotomi on the inauguration of new sub centres.
Meanwhile, deputy chief medical officer (CMO) Zunheboto, Dr.K.Akaho Sema he said it was fortunate for the two villages to have the health units.
He stressed on the smooth functioning of the health centres and urged upon the public to be equally responsible on their part.
The deputy CMO also encouraged the two villages to extend cooperation to the health workers during various health activities.
Further, he informed that performance and effective implementation were essential in order to achieve better performance which also increase the chances of upgrading to higher facilities.
The programme was chaired by J.Hokugha Sema, welcomed address was delivered by council chairman Rotomi Village, Hukuto Chophy and dedicatory prayer was said by pastor PBC, Vikashe Kiho and pastor RBC, Nagaho K Zhimo.
Later, vote of thanks was proposed by head GB Philimi Village, Vikikhe Assumi and benediction was offered by W/Pastor Rotomi Baptist Church, Hinotoli Shohe.
The inaugural programme was also attended by civil society organisations, church leaders, EAC Atoizu, medical officers, DPM Zunheboto and staff under CMO.
