Phiro Village Council and Totsu Village Council has appealed to the public that hunting under their jurisdictions was strictly prohibited.
In a joint press release, Phiro Village Council chairman, Yanpemo Tungu and Totsu Village Council Chairman Mhabemo Ennio warned that anyone found violating the notice would be penalised with a fine of Rs. 20,000, all the items will be ceased and stern action would be initiated wherein, the councils will not claim responsibilities.
The village council chairmen stated that Mt. Totsu was under Phiro Village and there was no such place called “dispute” area among Phiro village, Totsu village and Rumesinyu village.
They also stated that there was “a clear boundary demarcation” and therefore no person would be allowed to claim the area as “dispute.”
Further, the council chairmen appealed to the public to cooperate with the notice in order to avoid any untoward incident.
