Piano workshop and masterclass sessions underway in Kohima

A two day long Piano Workshop and Masterclass Sessions got began on January 16 at RCEMPA, Jotsoma, near Kohima.
TaFMA through a press release informed that the workshop has been sponsored by Italian Embassy Culture Centre, New Delhi with Sudipto Dawn – founder, Cultural Monks as facilitator in partnership with Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), Nagaland.
Addressing the introductory session, TaFMA advisor Theja Meru thanked Nagaland’s chief minister Neiphiu Rio for his support and making this workshop possible.
He expressed his gratitude to Italian Embassy Culture Centre, New Delhi and Sudipto Dawn for providing such platform to Naga pianists and also thanked Nagaland Piano Teachers Association (NPTA) for working hard to make the workshop a meaningful one.
Stating that resource person Gloria Campaner, came all the way from Italy to share her vast experiences, he told the Naga pianists to learn as much as possible. Italian pianist Gloria Campaner, NPTA president, Khyochano TCK also spoke at the introductory session.
The workshop featured 40 participants and it will continue till January 17.
The introductory session was chaired by TaFMA project director Dr. Hovithal Sothu.
