EAC Pfütsero, Dr. Riku Khutso has informed that two carcasses of full-grown pigs were dumped near CIEPI, Porba village along Pfütsero-Phek road by unidentified persons, “causing grave threat to public health and safety”.
According to a DIPR report, EAC informed that spot verification was conducted with the police, village authorities, NGO and department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS) Pfütsero.
The carcasses were later, safely disposed and due investigation is being carried out, EAC informed.
In this regard, public has been informed to remain vigilant for such cases and report immediately to the responsible authorities.
