Ketholelhu Khate, a pioneer and founder of Nagarjan village, passed away Sunday at his residence at Kuda ‘B’ Khel at about 7:05 pm after a prolonged illness. He was 96.
Late Ketholelhu, son of Korhithia Khate of Khonoma was born at Khonoma in 1912. According to the chairman, Nagarjan Kuda B Council, late Ketholelhu served as the Khonoma Voluntary Evangelist to Rüzaphema in 1933, Old Tesen village, Tenning district 1934-36 and Jotsoma 1936-39. He migrated to Kuda (Nagarjan) village in 1947 where he served as Pastor of Nagarjan Baptist Church from 1971 till 1983. Three sons, one daughter, 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren survived him. His funeral service will be held at the family residence on Monday at 11 am.
