CHÜMOUKEDIMA, AUG 7 (NPN): Piphema United FC (PUFC) registered a comfortable 2-0 victory over School of Football (SOF) in Match 13 of the 2nd Edition of the CDFA League-cum-Rokonicha Champions Trophy, played at Chümoukedima Football Stadium on Friday.
Piphema United FC took control of the contest early with Kikrukhrietuo (jersey No. 7) opening the scoring in the 16th minute.
Visieto (jersey No. 10) doubled the advantage four minutes later with a well-taken goal in the 20th minute, giving Piphema United FC a two-goal cushion that they successfully defended until the final whistle.
School of Football’s Sakomar (jersey No. 3) was shown a yellow card in first-half stoppage time (45+3 minutes).
PUFC’s Pradip (jersey No. 19) received a yellow card in the 49th minute before being sent off in the 57th minute after picking up his second booking of the match.
Visieto (jersey No. 10) of Piphema United FC was adjudged the Player of the Match for his influential performance, which included a goal.
The match patron for the fixture was Limatola Ao, Captain of the Nagaland Women’s Senior Team and an entrepreneur.
Meanwhile, the second match of the day, scheduled for 6:00 p.m., featured Medziphema United FC against Sovima Sports Club.
