DIMAPUR: The National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled (NCSCDA), Dimapur, under the Ministry of Labour & Employment (DGE), Government of India, in collaboration with Vishal Mega Mart, Dimapur, organised a placement drive on June 12 at the Assistant Labour Commissioner’s Building, Purana Bazar, Dimapur.
According to a DIPR report, the programme aimed to provide a vital platform for unemployed youth, particularly persons with disabilities (PwDs), to connect with prospective employers. More than 35 PwD candidates, including alumni of NCSCDA Dimapur, attended the interview, out of which 12 were shortlisted by the employer.
The event was termed successful, with candidates expressing motivation and happiness at the opportunity, which they viewed as a step towards upliftment and empowerment.
