Plantation drives at Nagaland House New Delhi, Wokha

The additional chief secretary & chief resident commissioner along with officers and staff of Nagaland house, New Delhi planted around 200 (tree saplings of different varieties at Nagaland House, New Delhi on Tuesday.

A press release from the resident commissioner office informed that after a short speech given by the ACS & CRC about the importance creating awareness among the people and restoration of the ecosystems, the officers and staff planted tree saplings to mark the occasion. 

The ACS & CRC also extended gratitude to the contribution of director, Intanki National Park, Nagaland, Ao Chuba, and DFO of West Delhi, Navneet for providing the tree saplings. 

Wokha forest division: As part of the national mission to carry out plantation drive along with armed forces, Wokha forest division distributed over 15,000 saplings on the world environment day to various armed forces and the Nagaland police.

This included the 40 Assam Rifles, DEF Wokha, home guards & civil defence, 7th NAP, CISF Doyang, police outpost Doyang, 7th NAP C COY Changpang, Liphanyan police outpost, police outpost Chukitong and 40 Assam Rifles D COY Chukitong.

Wokha forest division also distributed over 30,000 saplings in total to various institutes, villages and NGOs for their plantation activities.
