PM to help attract investments in Tripura: CM Manik Saha

Agartala, May 28 (PTI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Thursday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured support in attracting investment to the northeastern state to boost industries and allied sectors.
The state government has already decided to organise a business summit in July to attract investments worth around Rs 30,000 crore.
“I had a detailed discussion with the PM on May 26 on different issues ranging from development to financial matters and deregulation measures for ease of doing business. In the first phase, Tripura stood first in deregulation implementation,” Saha told reporters.
He said the PM assured support in bringing investment to the border state to strengthen industries and allied sectors.
Saha also met Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi on Thursday.
Taking to social media, the CM said, “A fruitful discussion was held with Pradhan on various important matters related to the state education department.”
“Detailed discussions were held on several issues aimed at improving the quality of education, developing modern infrastructure, expanding digital education, and ensuring better facilities and opportunities for students,” he wrote on Facebook.
