PM Vishwakarma launched in Kiphire

PM Vishwakarma, a Central scheme, to provide end-to-end support to artisans and craftspeople who work with their hands and tools, was launched in Kiphire on July 31. Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, DIC – PM Vishwakarma, Kiphire Temsuwati Longkumer in his welcome address highlighted some program components like Skill development, access to finance, technology adoption, marketing linkages etc. all aimed at fostering innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship in all round development.
He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his love to the people of Kiphire district.


Short speeches were delivered by Joint Director, Employment & Skill Development, Kohima Alongse Sangtam and SEC PM-VKS, Pravin Yadav. At the launching programme, PM – VKS ID cards were distributed to the beneficiaries. Vote of thanks was delivered by EAC, Kiphire Takatemjen Pongen and the program was chaired by Sukanya ABF, Kiphire.
