Department of Industries & Commerce has informed the public that applications for PM Vishwakarma and Udyam Registration are completely free of cost as per official guidelines.
According to DIPR, the department has received reports of private individuals and agencies collecting money from applicants while offering registration services under PM Vishwakarma, Udyam, and other MSME schemes.
While beneficiaries may choose to avail third-party help at their own risk, the department clarified that no fee should be charged in the name of the Government for these services.
The public has been advised to stay alert and report any such cases of unauthorised fee collection to the concerned District Industries Centre.
