PM Vishwakarma workshop empowers 100 artisans in Chozuba

DIMAPUR: A Marketing & Entrepreneurship Orientation Workshop under PM Vishwakarma was conducted at Vamuzo Memorial Hall, Chozuba, Phek, on February 16. The workshop aimed to create awareness and strengthen the capacity of artisans and beneficiaries in entrepreneurship, marketing, digital formalisation and financial literacy.
According to DIPR, Heinamgwangbe Nsarangbe, general manager, DIC-Chozuba, highlighted the objectives of the PM Vishwakarma scheme in his opening remark and encouraged participants to take full advantage of the training to strengthen their ventures.
In the first session, Veswovo Phesao, functional manager, DIC-Chozuba, elaborated on schemes under the Ministry of MSME and the State Government, including eligibility criteria and benefits for artisans and entrepreneurs.
The second session, led by Victoria, SLPMU, focused on Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP), branding, advertising and packaging. She stressed the importance of entrepreneurial skills, effective branding strategies, advertising techniques and improved packaging to enhance marketability and ensure sustainability.
Avelu, project assistant, RAMP, Phek, conducted the third session, highlighting the benefits of PM Vishwakarma under Udyam registration and QR code integration. She emphasised digital payments and business formalisation for sustainable growth.
The fourth session on financial literacy and banking was delivered by Ronald Lepcha, branch manager, SBI Chozuba, who spoke on financial management, banking services and credit facilities.
The workshop also included a feedback session and interactive discussions, allowing participants to clarify doubts with resource persons. Altogether, 100 registered participants attended, along with government officials and resource persons.
