PMAY-U 2.0 team holds orientation in seven towns

DIMAPUR

In an effort to boost implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0, a three-member expert team from the State Level Technical Cell (SLTC), Nagaland, carried out a week-long capacity-building and outreach programme across seven towns.
The team visited Medziphema, Bhandari, Dimapur, East Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Peren and Tening, engaging with Urban Local Body (ULB) officials, Councillors, and stakeholders.
The experts—Nchumthung Ovung (IEC), Neitho Usou (Data Management), and Er. Arika Achumi (Engineering)—conducted orientation sessions covering the mission’s objectives, components, and execution strategies.
Each session included interactive presentations focused on strengthening project delivery, beneficiary engagement, and departmental coordination.
During the joint session for Dimapur, East Dimapur, and Chümoukedima on July 23, State Mission Director, PMAY-U, and Joint Director & HoD, Municipal Affairs, Temjenrenla Kechu, provided an overview of the mission, emphasizing inclusive urban housing and cooperative governance.
According to the State Level Nodal Agency, the programme will continue in remaining towns to ensure consistent understanding and implementation statewide.
