Pathso Nokeng Students’ Union (PNSU) has expressed outrage over the mysterious death of its member Pesha Khiamniungan, whose body was found by Assam police on May 26 after he had gone missing in Dimapur on May 24, 2025.
In a press release, PNSU president Muchu M and general secretary Sukho H maintained that the circumstances surrounding his demise and the “deliberate concealment” of the incident for more than a week by his companion posed serious questions.
Further, the union stated that contradicting statements, falsifying facts to the investigators and non-recovery of Pesha’s possessions were “red flags” and obstructions to the process of investigation.
PNSU also stated that “shocking expose” by the digital trials proved otherwise and showed that
the “suspect has displayed consciousness of guilt in due course of the investigation” raising suspicion of foul play.
The union has, therefore, urged the responsible authorities for a swift and thorough investigation to uncover the entire truth and deliver justice to the victim.
Meanwhile, PNSU has expressed gratitude to all those involved in the recovery of his body. The union also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and pray that God grant them strength to overcome grief.
