Phuye New Village Council (PNVC) while reacting to Assam Rifles report which was p[published on December 14 in this daily under the headline “5 AR nab 3 NSCN members”, has clarified that the two arrested are public and not members of NSCN (K). In press release, PNVC chairman, Hotovi Yeptho, has clarified that the arrested persons, Khetoho Achumi and Vikheho Awomi, are not members of NSCN (K) but “mere public”. PNVC informed that the clarification has been issued after “thorough verification” by the village council.
