POCSO sensitisation drive in Tseminyu

DIMAPUR

A sensitisation drive for Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act of 2012 under the theme, “It takes a village to protect a child, let’s do it together” was held at Phenwhenyu Village Council Hall, Tseminyu on July 30.
According to DIPR report, the event was organised by District Child Protection Unit in collaboration with District Administration Tseminyu.
Addressing the participants, EAC Tseminyu, Mhathung Ngullie highlighted the significance of organising such a drive and reminded the Village Council Chairmen and Civil Society Organisations that Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case cannot be compromised in any manner.
The program was attended by VCCs, GBs, and members of Rengma Hoho, Rengma Mother Association, churches, youth organisations and Students’ Union.
