Popular TV talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension following his vile comments about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk is not just another celebrity controversy-it is a symptom of how low American liberalism has sunk. Once upon a time, late-night comedy was about wit and satire. Today, it has degenerated into a circus of venom, where decency is mocked and cruelty paraded as “free speech.” Kimmel’s sneer that Trump supporters mourning Kirk were like “a four-year-old grieving a goldfish” was not comedy. It was contempt masquerading as cleverness. This is not an isolated case as liberal talk show hosts thrive on tasteless jabs, pushing the limits of provocation night after night. They have built careers on mocking everything from -faith, patriotism, and tradition while lionizing Hollywood’s shallow activism. Kimmel himself has long been a darling of liberal elites, but this time, his smugness went too far. Even in a nation divided by ideology, mocking the grief of a man’s friends and allies crosses a moral boundary. What makes the episode more alarming is how it exposes the hollowness of modern liberalism. Hollywood claims to stand for freedom, equality, and compassion. In reality, it has been a cesspool of exploitation and hypocrisy. The same industry that preaches women’s rights tolerated predators like Harvey Weinstein for decades. The same entertainers who lecture the public on morality think nothing of degrading their political opponents on national television. Liberalism, in its Hollywood incarnation, has long abandoned decency; it now thrives on humiliation and outrage. Conservatives have every reason to detest this culture. The so-called progressive agenda-abortion on demand, radical gender ideology, open borders, contempt for religion, and hostility toward tradition-amounts to nothing less than an assault on American identity. Worse still, liberal policies on immigration have invited not just people but entire parallel cultures into the United States. Millions of immigrants now demand changes in laws, customs, and policies to suit their own traditions, eroding the values that built the nation in the first place. It is the camel-in-the-tent parable made real: what began as accommodation is now dislocation. Charlie Kirk understood this, which is why he became a target. He spoke openly against the liberal machine and stood for principles conservatives hold dear. For Kimmel and his Hollywood peers, mocking his death is fair game because it silences an inconvenient voice. Yet the hypocrisy is glaring: if a conservative comedian had made light of a progressive activist’s assassination, the outrage would have burned through every newsroom and social media feed in America. Donald Trump, for all his flaws, is one of the few political figures willing to resist this cultural onslaught. He may not be the perfect embodiment of conservatism, but he at least defends American values against the tidal wave of liberal decadence. That is why conservatives rally behind him-not out of blind loyalty, but out of recognition that without resistance, America’s core identity will vanish under Hollywood’s corrosive brand of liberalism. Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension should be more than a slap on the wrist. It should be a wake-up call. America must decide whether free speech means license for cruelty, or whether there are still boundaries of decency worth defending. If mocking the murder of a man becomes acceptable entertainment, then America has not just lost its sense of humor-it has lost its soul.
