Police arrest two with heroin in Kohima

Nagaland police narcotic cell (NC) on Saturday, arrested—Md. Maniqur Rahman (25), s/o Md. Abdur Rahim and Md. Warish (25) s/o Sahidun Bibi, residents of Lilong village, Thoubal, Manipur on charges of possessing 143 grams of suspected heroin at NH-2, Kohima.
According to police PRO, the police personnel intercepted a Guwahati-bound Ford Figo bearing registration number AS01AX-4348 at NH-2, Kohima.
PRO informed that on searching the vehicle, 11 soap cases of suspected heroin were recovered.
In this connection, the contraband was seized and the two individuals were arrested under NDPS Act, 1985 for further investigation.
