Dimapur police Monday issued advisory in view of the increasing cases of financial/marketing frauds. In a public notice, Commissioner of Police (CP) Dimapur informed that Dimapur police unearthed a fraudulent investment company operating by the name “Guras Marketing”, located at Khaku’s building ‘B’ block, behind Plaza Traffic Police Booth, Dimapur.
CP said a Suo Motu case has been registered against “Guras Marketing” under relevant provision of the BNS Act 2023 for cheating and criminal breach of trust following multiple complaints for luring and defrauding investors by promising high returns through unregulated schemes.
Further, CP said SIT has been constituted and investigation was currently ongoing. In this regard, the police cautioned investors to immediately cease all financial dealings with “Guras Marketing” to avert any potential losses.
Individuals, who have invested with the company and victims of their fraudulent activities, have been requested to report their complaints to West Police Station.
Police appealed to the public to exercise caution and be vigilant of such investment schemes promising unusually high returns. Police also sought public cooperation in reporting information vital for ensuring justice and preventing further financial frauds.
